In the episode "Bonanza: The Avenger," Ben and Adam are wrongly accused of a crime and locked in jail, where they
are scheduled to be hanged. Joe and Hoss must work to uncover the truth and clear their father and brother's names
before it's too late. They receive help from Lassiter, a drifter who is searching for the men who committed a
lynching in Kansas years ago. Together, they must find out why the witnesses to the alleged crime have perjured
themselves and bring the real culprits to justice.
